Back to School Night Information

Dear Linden Avenue Families,

We are thrilled to invite you to Back to School Night on Thursday, September 18th, between 6:30-8:30 PM. This special evening gives us the chance to welcome you into our school community, share the exciting learning journey ahead, and highlight the strong partnerships we value between families and staff.

Back to School Night is a parent/caregiver-only event so that the focus can remain on connection, communication, and the details of your child’s school experience.

What to Expect

  • Classroom Presentations: Teachers will provide an overview of class expectations, learning goals, and daily routines.

  • Special Areas & Related Arts: Staff will be available to introduce their programs, with some colleagues shared across schools available via email for follow-up questions.

  • Book Fair & Community Partners: We encourage you to visit the Linden HSA Book Fair in the Multi-Purpose Room between 6:30–8:30 PM, and stop by the Glen Ridge Public Library and Board of Education and SEPAC (Special Education Parent Advisory Committee) tables to connect with community partners.

Back to School Night is not designed for individual student conferences, but rather to give you a clear sense of our curriculum, classroom environment, and approach to teaching and learning. Parent-teacher conferences will be held this fall to discuss your child’s individual progress.

Most importantly, this evening is a celebration of partnership. Our staff is deeply committed to creating safe, caring, and engaging classrooms where every child can flourish. We want you to leave reassured that your child is in good hands, and excited for all that this school year will bring.

Please remember to vist the Book Fair in the MPR from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
